Joanna Tucker
Joanna became passionate about the value of early intervention with families in difficulty whilst practising as a social worker in the field of child abuse and neglect. She went on to train as an adult psychotherapist with the West Midlands Institute of Psychotherapy. Her desire to work in a preventative capacity led to her joining OXPIP. She has had a variety of roles in the organisation since 1999: as a parent-infant psychotherapist, supervisor, trainer, Clinical Director and now as a Consultant. She is a qualified Guider and Supervisor in Video Interaction Guidance. She is involved with our professional training delivery and leads workshops and lectures on issues connected with infancy, attachment theory, and parent-infant psychotherapy. She has taught on several therapeutic and academic trainings, and has had a number of articles about clinical work in the perinatal period published.
