
Are you interested in improving the relationships between parents and their baby? Do you have training or a qualification in psychotherapy, counselling or equivalent therapeutic discipline?
Oxford Parent-Infant Project (OXPIP) is a nationally regarded charity providing free parent-infant psychotherapy to support the developing relationship between parents and their forthcoming or new baby. We’re looking for a qualified therapist to join our team and contribute to our excellent clinical quality and impact.
Our therapists are drawn from a variety of practitioner backgrounds and have specialist psychotherapeutic knowledge and understanding of infant mental health and attachment theory. We offer a supportive and stimulating environment of continuous learning and reflection.
We work from community venues across Oxfordshire to provide easy and accessible services to the families we serve. We also provide services to highly vulnerable families including babies on a Child in Need or Child Protection Plan.

Hours: At least 22.5 hours per week (0.6FTE) (must include Wednesday mornings)
Location: Oxfordshire
Salary : £44,965 per annum (full-time equivalent for a 37.5 hr/week post) on a pro rata basis)
The role will involve:
- Providing weekly parent-infant therapy sessions to OXPIP Clients in a community venue
- Liaison and consultation with professional colleagues both within and outside of OXPIP
- Ensuring safeguarding of children and parents/carers
- Participating actively in regular individual and peer supervision
- Attending clinical meetings and other OXPIP meetings as required, including weekly Wednesday 9am meeting (two per month in person at our office in Kidlington)
- Attending team learning events
- Support for fundraising activities such as attendance at fundraising events, meeting funders, promoting awareness of fundraising events.
