Membership
OXPIP welcomes applications for membership from those with a connection to OXPIP who can demonstrate an interest in supporting our aims and objectives.
As a member of OXPIP you may:
- vote at General Meetings
- stand as a trustee and appoint trustees
- put forward and vote on resolutions
Please refer to the Articles of Association for details of these processes.
You will also be invited to OXPIP meetings and events and kept in touch with our activities and developments.
During the period of membership, and for one year after expiry, members have a limited liability of £1 should the charity be dissolved.
The membership fee is £10/year for all or part of one year’s membership and is due in April of each year. Each application is considered by the OXPIP Membership Secretary on behalf of the Trustees. If your application is approved, we will contact you to confirm membership and arrange payment.
A reminder to renew membership will be sent out in March with a deadline for payment within one month. If payment is not received within 6 months, then membership will automatically lapse.
Membership will be terminated if a member acts in way that is contrary to OXPIP's aims and objectives or in a way that brings the charity into disrepute.
You may resign your membership at any time and your resignation will be counted from the date OXPIP receives your notice. There will be no refund for part-year membership.
