Virtual Row Challenges - March 2024

On the day of the Oxford-Cambridge Boat Race, our youngest rower and our creative rower completed their challenges to raise vital funds for OXPIP.

‘Lil E’ and Lizi succeeded in their challenge to get through all 38 verses (and more!) of ‘Row, Row, Row Your Boat’ throughout the day. Some of the verses were sang beautifully by Lil E, others by Lizi at high speed, with some lollipop stick oars. The favourite verses were the ones about cows and cuddles so these were repeated a few times, plus some additional ones about milk and dippy eggs…

Sam’s challenge was to crochet a row as long as the boats used in the Boat Race - a mere 60ft. Sam achieved this, despite getting feet and metres muddled at one point but luckily she hadn’t gone too far past the mark - and better too long than too short! See how she also made it spell out OXPIP there in the image? Clever.

A huge thank you to everyone who has helped raise over £505 for the Oxford Parent-Infant Project so far - there’s still time to donate if you’d like to:
