Thursday, July 12th, 2007

OXPIP has won a prestigious award in recognition of its exceptional work in tackling poverty and advancing social justice. The award, presented by the Centre for Social Justice and sponsored by the Pears Foundation, was received by OXPIP Chair Andrea Leadsom at a presentation evening hosted by J P Morgan Asset Management in London on 11 July.

In receiving the award Andrea Leadsom, our Chair of Trustees, said “I’m delighted that the tremendous work of OXPIP’s Clinical Team has been recognised by this prestigious national award. The £5,000 prize money will pay for the expansion of OXPIP’s satellite in Witney that opened earlier this year”

OXPIP was one of five organisations to receive an award; over 130 voluntary organisations were considered. View a short film about OXPIP’s work made by the Centre for Social Justice here
