OXPIP - the Oxford Parent Infant Project

About Us

Giving a baby the love, care and attention it needs can be very difficult, especially if you are stressed or depressed, if the child won’t feed, if you are coping on your own, if your baby won’t sleep or just seems to be continually crying.

What we do:

  • OXPIP provides one to one therapeutic support and group therapy work for parents and their new born babies. This unique service is not provided by any other agency or organisation in Oxfordshire
  • OXPIP promotes, to the wider healthcare professions, an understanding of the critical importance of good infant mental health. OXPIP does this through formal training for GPs, Health Visitors and Social Workers, and through informal networking within the PCT and Social Services

OXPIP is a charitable company limited by guarantee (charity no. 1109956, company no. 5410167). It is ten years old this year, is governed by seven unpaid Trustees. A team of eight highly qualified specialists in parent-infant work (psychotherapists and counsellors) deliver the therapeutic work.
